I’ve decided that its time to Update.

It’s been months. I apologize. This might actually be a real update.

1. Graduation
It looms ahead, like a giant wall that I’m about to run into at full speed. The prospect of graduating is frightening. I’ve decided just now that I’m not going to tell you whether or not I actually pass all of my classes. We are just going to assume that I graduate in May 2008. If anything changes, it will be secret underground movement (led by shame mostely) whereby I complete the last course required to graduate.

I admit. I’m having trouble in one of my classes. My professor advised me to drop the course. Hmm. Good idea? No. Dropping guarantees not graduating. I only need a D! That’s totally doable!

Anyway. I’m graduating.

2. Ultimate.
Dottie phrased it nicely. “Playoffs”.  That’s what is beginning in the month of April.  April 12-13 we play all the teams in Texas. (Which we are 100% certain to win.) April  26-27 We play all the teams in the south region. Including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Alabama, Louisiana, and some of Tennessee. The sole winner of this competition heads to Boulder Colorado for Nationals! YEEEAH.

Note: Nationals is the same day as graduation. Clearly I should not graduate!

3. Class.
I’m in class. I’ve discovered that my professor only comes to class once a week. Irritating. I mean lets be honest, why do I have to come to class if you don’t? In celebration of this internal rebelling, I have decided to write this update in class. I’d really like to pass this class though. That would be great.

4. Work.
Assuming part 1 holds true, I will be starting a new job in June.
June 30th is the plan.

I’ll be working with a team that designs multi-core processors at Sun Microsystems. (www.sun.com) in Austin, TX.

5. Microsoft.
I currently have the 2004 version of Microsoft office on my Mac. I noticed that they have a 2008 version out. But I decided to think about things that have become popular in the last 4 years that probably didn’t make it into the spell checker.
